LAUREN’S “IF YOU LOVE SOMETHING LET IT GO UNLESS IT’S CHILI” CHILI

INGREDIENTS

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Makes 8-10 servings
  • 2 cans (16 oz) BUSH’S® Kidney Chili Beans, undrained
  • 2 cans (16 oz) BUSH’S® Pinto Chili Beans, undrained
  • 2 lbs lean ground round beef
  • 3 tsp chili powder
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 oz each) Hunt’s® Diced Tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • Sour cream
  • Black olives, optional

DIRECTIONS

Follow these simple steps

STEP ONE

Brown ground beef in heavy Dutch oven or soup pot.

STEP TWO

Add chili powder and mix well. Add onion and pepper to meat and cook for 2 minutes. Drain off excess grease.

STEP THREE

Stir in remaining ingredients except sour cream. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

STEP FOUR

Top with a dollop of sour cream
